One of the most important features of this game is the Casual Handling Mode. The main benefit is that it helps you focus clearly on the race with all the other functions such as steering and track limits, off-road driving and other matters being handled by AI. This feature is of great help to amateur drivers and new players. Not just this, it is also of great assistance to pad users.
It is recommended that you keep the Dynamic Racing Line assist turned on almost all the time and to make sure that it is set to 3D for the complete length and not just for the corners. With practice, you are likely to get comfortable with your car and it is then that you may decide to turn it off.
F1 Clash/ F1 Manager 2024 Playing guide
Let’s get into the nitty-gritty of this game now.
You control two pilots in this game and the points that you get depend upon the rankings of your pilots. You get full control over the speed of each care and it is but obvious that you can decide when to pit stop. Having said that, racing your car at a high speed also means that more fuel gets consumed and that your tires get worn out quickly.
It is important to remember that refueling is not allowed during a pit stop. What it means is that you must ensure that you enough fuel to last all through the race.
Win Conditions
Each and every can that finished the case gets points according to its rankings. It goes without saying that those with higher rankings get more points. Your goal in the game should be to get more points than your competitor rather than emerge as the number one racer.
Yep! You don’t need to be the winning driver in the race. All that you need is better rankings than your opponent.
Qualification
Qualifying for a race is an automatic process and you don’t have much control over it. Your car gets its rankings and position in the race according to your position in the last race and so does your opponent.
Once you are qualified, you get the option of choosing which tires you want at the beginning of the race.
Choosing Tires in a race
There are 3 main choices as far as tires are concerned and these include:
- Soft
- Hard and
- Wet
The Soft tires tend to be the fastest moving tires in the game but they are also prone to quick worn out. On the other hand, hard tires are supposed to be slower but they come with a better or longer lifespan.
Wet tires are your best bet during wet weather. It is important to be aware of the fact that the right combination of car parts can be a massive help in securing your victory in the race.
Pit stops
In Pit Spots, you get to change your car tires. As mentioned above, you can choose the tires from among soft, hard, and wet ones. Not just this, you can also repair any damaged car part during the pit stop. Even though you are free to stay here for as long as you wish, what you need to be aware of is that refueling is simply not on the cards.
Getting Boxes
There are four ways to secure boxes in this race:
- When you win the race you get boxes with crates of supplies in them as a reward.
- Another way to get a racing box is by collecting 100 racing points. These are the points that your two pilots get at the end of the race and with these points you can easily get boxes.
- Every 4 hours you get to open a free box.
- Last but not the least, you can buy boxes from the store.
Pilot Strategies in F1 Manager/ F1 Clash
Let’s have a look at some of the pilot strategies that can be of great help in winning the race:
Overtaking
This simply refers to the number of chances the pilot sees for overtaking his opponent.
Defense
Just as your pilot wants to overtake others, his opponents also want to overtake him. Now, defense refers to how effectively your pilot can prevent his opponent from overtaking him in the race.
Constancy
Constancy
A high level of constancy means that the pilot goes through circles for about the same time and adheres well to the strip. These statistics also increase the chance of a quick start in the race.
Fuel management
A high level of fuel management reduces fuel consumption during races.
Tire management
A high level of tire management reduces tire wear during racing.
Driving in the rain
Improves pilot performance in wet weather.
Component Statistics
Components have five Statistics. They are :
- Power: Determines the maximum speed and acceleration of your cars.
- Aero: Minimizes air resistance and improves speed in fast corners.
- Clutch: Improves car contact with the track and speed on slow corners.
- Reliability: Reduces the likelihood of component breakdown during the race.
- Average time in the pit stop: This shows how much time on average your cars spend in the pit stop. The shorter the time, the faster the stop.
Guide for Series and Flags in F1 Manager/ F1 Clash
There are seven series in this game and you can choose one. In the beginning of the game, only series 1 is unlocked.
With each victory or win in the race, you get flags as a reward and the number of flags that you get directly depends upon the series that you choose to race in. Having said that, each of the series has a maximum number of flags that you can expect to win. Higher series, obviously, come with a greater number of flags that can be won.
But this it not all!
When you lose, you lose your flags too. Moreover, there is a certain number of flags that you need in order to unlock a series and this number is clearly mentioned in the panel of each series.
The Seven Series
Series 1
Tracks – There are three tracks in this series and they include:
- Autodromo Nazionale Monza (Italy)
- Circuit Gilles Villeneuve (Canada)
- Hockenheimring (Germany)
As you begin the game, you don’t get to use your two original pilots or your starter parts. In such a case, it is important that you choose pilots that are good in fuel and tire management. Some of the best choices could include Norris, Perez, Grosjean, or even Kvyat.
At this point, I would suggest that you save both Bottas and Giovinazzi for later use. While Bottas is an epic card, Giovinazzi is capable of achieving 100% tire management only at level 9.
Here are some more key points to remember:
- Soft tires are supposed to be better than hard ones.
- In order to save fuel as well as tires, its better to ride on the green during the first two laps and you may drive on the red during the last two laps
- You should also avoid stacking which refers to having your 2 pilots blocked at the same time at the pit.
- In order to minimize the risk of stacking, you should try to alternate the stops among the pilots.
Series 2
Tracks – In this series also, there are three tracks and these include:
- Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (Spain)
- Hungaroring (Hungary)
- Circuit Paul Ricard (France).
It must be noted that this series is definitely faster than the previous one. Thus, it is important to consider having Kvyat as a pilot.
At this stage, I would recommend that you avoid series 3 since the strategy is quite different and you need to be a little more expert to win this one. Try to get all the flags in series 2 and jump over to series 4.
Series 3
Tracks – The three tracks in this race include:
- Silverstone Circuit (UK)
- Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium)
- Red Bull Ring (Austria).
Before you begin with this series, you must try to improve your car and also try to reduce the pit stop time, which is important to reduce the risk of stacking of your pilots. In this series, it is also important to choose the best stats in the rain.
The most suitable pilots for this series include Norris, Perez, and Grosjean. You should also upgrade your parts for this series. Some of the recommended parts are listed below:
- Brakes: Soft Touch / The Chute
- Gearbox: The Shredder / Sync Star
- Rear spoiler: Wind Tunnel
- Front spoiler: The Turbulence / Laser Lock / The Rollercoaster
- Suspension: The Profiler
- Motor: Zen / Free Wheeler.
Series 4
Recommended pilots: Perez and Norris – Grosjean
As you advance ahead in this game, the races tend to become harder and harder. It goes without saying that series 4 is much more difficult than series 3. It comes with high temperature and it becomes almost impossible for you to run 3 laps on soft tires.
One of the best options that you have in this series is to unlock Norris.
With Norris and Kvyat, it’s best to collect the flags in this series and advance ahead to series 5. In this series also, you should try to stick to the same strategy of doing the first laps in Green so that you can save money and then get on to red in the last 2 03 laps.
Some of the recommended parts for this series are listed below:
- Brakes: Soft Touch / The Chute
- Gearbox: The Shredder / Sync Star
- Rear spoiler: Wind Tunnel
- Front spoiler: The Turbulence / Laser Lock / The Rollercoaster
- Suspension: The Profiler
- Motor: Zen / Free Wheeler.
Series 5
Tracks –The three tracks in this series include:
- Sochi Autodrom (Russia)
- Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez (Mexico)
- Autodromo Joso Carlos Pace (Brazil).
Recommended drivers: Grosjean and Norris.
In this series, it is best to choose these two pilots who are great in terms of fuel management. Now again, you use the same strategy of going green in the first two laps while red in the last 3. As far as your car is concerned, try to get aerodynamics in this series.
Recommended parts include the following:
- Brakes: The Chute
- Gearbox: The Shredder / Sync Star
- Rear spoiler: Wind Tunnel
- Front spoiler: Laser Lock / The Rollercoaster
- Suspension: The Profiler
- Motor: Zen / Free Wheeler.
Series 6
Tracks – The tracks include:
- Shanghai International Circuit (China)
- Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit (Australia)
- Suzuka International Racing Course (Japan).
Recommended drivers: Grosjean and Perez – Norris. You may also consider Bottas level 4 and Perez.
Why Perez?
This is series in which you are going to see a lot of rain and thus, it becomes important to have a pilot that is good in wet weather. It must be noted that Perez is one pilot who is exceptionally good in wet weather or during rains and also has better tire management as compared to Norris.
Moreover, he is also supposed to be the best drive for the Suzuka circuit. One thing that I would like to mention here is that if you use Perez here then he can do only 2 laps at a faster speed. Alternatively, you can use Bottas from level 4 and Perez. Both of them are likely to begin the race in good places and this is kind of going to make up for the bottom results of Bottas in the rain.
As far as your car is concerned, you need to focus on aerodynamics in this series too and some of the recommended parts include the following:
- Brakes: The Chute
- Gearbox: Sync Star
- Rear spoiler: Wind Tunnel
- Front spoiler: Laser Lock / The Rollercoaster
- Suspension: The Profiler
- Motor: Zen / Free Wheeler.
Series 7
Tracks – The last of the series includes the following tracks:
- Circuit de Monaco (Monaco)
- Baku City Circuit (Azerbaijan)
- Marina Bay Street Circuit (Singapore).
Recommended drivers: Grosjean and Perez and another alternative is to use Bottas level 4 and Perez.
Grosjean is one drive that comes with lower regularity. It is interesting to note that the starting positions of Perez and Grosjean are quite widespread and this kind of helps in minimizing the risk of stacking.
In Monaco use the 5-3 strategy and in Baku, you may use 3-3-2 strategy. In Marina Bay, it is best to go for 4-3 strategy.
In this series again, your focus has to be on aerodynamics. Some of the recommended parts include the following:
- Brakes: The Chute
- Gearbox: Sync Star
- Rear spoiler: Wind Tunnel
- Front spoiler: Laser Lock / The Rollercoaster
- Suspension: The Profiler
- Motor: Zen / Free Wheeler.
